The Historical Society has organised three history trails around the village which capture the village’s involvement and history associated with both of the World Wars.
One of the trails is a short walk around the Churchyard and Church and takes the form of a Quiz, suitable for everyone including families with children.
The second is a longer walk around the village for the more adventurous.
Information about these two trails can be collected at the Church and you can choose to start these whenever you’d like to.
The third trail will be a tractor and trailer guided tour around the wider village (see below).
There will be an exhibition of wartime memorabilia in the Church whilst you enjoy some refreshments before you start or end a trail.
Tractor and Trailer Tours
Historical tours around the village and the lanes, taking in the parts of the area that played a significant role in the War. The tours will be hosted by a personal guide and will be conducted onboard a tractor and trailer. Each tour will last an hour and all tours start and finish at The Triangle.
Tours will start at 10.30am, 11.30am, 2pm and 3pm.
Numbers on each tour are limited to 25 maximum due to the capacity of the trailer. All children aged 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. In order to ensure people are not waiting around / disappointed not to get on a tour, could people please book a slot in advance with either:
